4. Quercus incana

Primarily known as Bluejack Oak, Quercus incana is also known as Upland Willow Oak, Sandjack Oak, and Cinnamon Oak. Incana itself is latin for “gray or white with age.” The leaves have light hairs and the underside can appear white or gray.

They are usually taller than 6 feet (2m) when mature.

Tomentose from the Greek meaning hair. Stellate, meaning shaped like a star, or radiating from a center.
